ROWING:
UCC Quercus Sports Scholar Jack Casey won the U23 Indoor National Rowing Championship in  the UL Arena.

Jack produced a new PB, improving on the second place he achieved at the provincial finals in November

 

RUGBY:

Congratulations to UCC rugby club player Paul Kiernan on being selected on the Irish U20 rugby team for the upcoming Six nations Championship

UCC seniors defeated QUB 30:14 in their AIL & Colour match in the Mardyke at the weekend

AUSSIE RULES:
Congratulations to UCC Aussie Rules team who were runners up in the European Universities Cup held in Birmingham last weekend. UCC took 2 teams to the competition and their second team finished in 3rd place.

 

HURLING:
UCC were beaten by UCD in their opening Fitzgibbon Cup match at the Mardyke last week on a scoreline of 0-13: 2-12

 

FUTSAL:
UCC ladies soccer were beaten semi-finalists in the futsal tournament in Waterford last week.

 

BASKETBALL:
Congratulations to the students & graduates who were part of Team Montenotte’s national senior women’s basketball championship success in Dublin yesterday evening. UCC graduate Aine Mc Kenna captained Glanmire to a 3-in-a-row

 

HOCKEY:

UCC (men) defeated CofI (B) 6:1 in their MSL clash at the Mardyke on Saturday

UCC (Ladies) were beaten by Hermes 0:3 in the EYLeague at the Mardyke yesterday

 

ATHLETICS:
UCC HPAE sports scholarship holder Phil Healy won the 60m & 200m at the U23 National Indoor championships in Athlone yesterday

 

SOCCER:

CRICKET:
UCC were unsuccessful in their attempt to win back the indoor intervarsity title at the weekend. University of Ulster won the final against DIT.
