Congratulations to UCC students Kelly Diggin, Sarah Kenny, Lesley Ann Wilkinson & Adrian O Sullivan on being selected on the Irish Women’s & Men’s Colleges Squads for upcoming invitational matches

UCC Men’s team were beaten by ITTallaght in the colleges league Final in Dublin last week.

Congratulations to UCC students Adrian O Sullivan & Jack O Mahony on being part of the UCC Demons Men’s Champions Trophy success in Kilkenny yesterday.

Congratulations to Sarah Kenny, Leslie Ann Wilkinson on being part of Team Montenotte Glanmires League success in Kilkenny yesterday. They were ably assisted by UCC graduates Claire Rockall, Aine McKenna (Captain), Marie Breen & Niamh Dwyer.

Claire Rockall was also presented with her All Star Award for her performances throughout the year for her club.



UCC were beaten 5-45 by NUIG in the colleges league final played last week.

UCC’s Alison Miller scored a hat trick of tries as Ireland defeated Scotland in their final Six Nations Championship match


UCC won their first men’s Munster Junior Cup final with a 3-2 win over Cork Harlequins on St. Patricks Day. Sam Grace, Shane O’Halloran, and Greg Chambers built a 3-0 lead for UCC but they allowed Quins dominate the last third of the game.

UCC defeated Waterford 5-0 on the Munster League Division 3 league match at the weekend

Quercus Scholar, Jack Casey, rowing in the U23 Heavyweight Quad, posted the fastest crew time at the International Selection trials at the National Rowing Centre over the weekend. Following extensive racing , the successful quad with oarsman from Portadown, Portora (Enniskillen), NUIG and UCC has been selected to represent Ireland in the Under-23 World Championships in Rotterdam in August.   Jack is coached by Brian O’Flaherty (BIS) and Ross O’Donovan (Buildings and Estates).
