UCC hurlers in County Championship action this weekend

Despite the fact that College students are on holiday, sport in UCC still continues and on this coming Bank Holiday Monday, the senior hurling team play Imokilly in the Cork County Senior Hurling Championship first round.

The game is fixed for Riverstown (Sarsfields GAA Pitch) and has a 7.30pm throw in. College have won the Cork Championship on two occasions in 1963 and 1970 with former President Mick Mortell being a part of the ’63 winning team.

Many of the team will have been in action with either club or county that day or the day before but will still give it their all for the Skull & Crossbones.
