UCC Clubs & Societies Ball presents C&S Gone Wild!
Well it’s almost that time of the year again, time to get suited and booted and get ready for the annual Clubs & Societies Ball! This year, UCC Clubs and Societies Ball will be taking place in Rochestown Park Hotel on the 22nd March. The theme is C&S Gone Wild and it promises to be a wild night with lots of surprises in store!
This year, as part of the C&S Gone Wild theme, we are partnering up with Fota Wildlife Park. Fota is a non-profit organisation that works on conservation, education and research around plant and animal habitats. A little known fact is that Fota Island is owned by UCC and, with the theme being Wildlife, it was a logical step for us to partner up with such a fantastic organisation!
This year promises to be bigger and better than ever so if you’ve never made it to the Clubs & Socs Ball before, now is your chance! Don’t just take my word for it that it’s a night not to be missed; take a look at some of the photos below from the balls over the last few years for just a taste of what you’ll be experiencing on the 22nd March.
And we haven’t been bored since the Ball last year; on the 6th February we hosted our biggest ever Clubs & Socs Ball Table Quiz with over 40 teams taking part. There was a lot of fun to be had on the night and, along with the prizes for the winners and runners up, there was also some fantastic raffle prizes donated by Fota Wildlife Park, Rochestown Park Hotel, Barry’s Tea, UCC Visitor’s Centre, O’Sullivan’s Pharmacy, Hair & Beauty Corner, and the Student Centre. Don’t worry if you missed out on the prizes though; keep an eye on the UCC Sport Instagram – there will be more giveaways coming up around the ticket sales and you don’t want to miss out!
This year, ticket sales will be taking place on Thursday 9th March at 8am in the Students’ Union Common Room. Tickets cost €40 for a fulls and €25 for afters. Fulls tickets are limited to committee members from Clubs and Societies and will be sold on a first come, first served basis, so be there early to make sure that you get a ticket to the best ball of the year!
