Registration on the day took place in the superb Western Gateway facility on Western Road.

Conditions for the race were pretty good with a small bit of sunshine at times. In fact, it was pretty lucky in that there was rain earlier in the morning and a heavy drizzle returned in the early afternoon.

This race consistently gets good numbers every year with 483 runners this year.

In a closely contested race John Meade (Joyce Wolf Physiotherapy) 00:32:36 finished first followed in closely by Micheal Bruton (G.E. Healthcare) 00:32:39 in at a close second place.

In the ladies category there first play lady was Claire McCarthy (Apex Funds) 00:34:39 came in first followed by Helen Leonard (Department of Education) 41:01.

Well done to all of the competitors at all levels across the race field.
