UCC Alumni Zoe Grattage lines out with Ireland in the 6 Nations this weekend.
Zoe Grattage started playing rugby with UCC in 2009.
She played a huge part in UCC rugby during her four years in college where is studied public health, she reached the division 1 final three years in a row in 2010,2011 and 2012. Zoe was vice captain of the women’s rugby team in 2011/2012 where her hard work and incredible team sprit and leadership helped her team to win the 2012 Intervarsaties. Zoe was also part of the UCC team that retained the intervarsity title in 2013. Zoe was awarded player of the year in 2013 for her hard work and her huge contribution to the team. Her natural ability for rugby shown through.
She received her first cap for Munster in the 2012/2013 season.
This year Zoe received her first Irish cap, where she was part of the team who were victorious over Wales, winning 21-3. She will be part of the squad who take on England in Twickenham this weekend in the six nations. Zoe has shown that hard work and determination really do pay off. Zoe is a prime example of the perfect role model for anyone who is or will be part of UCC rugby in the years to come.
