We would like to thank everyone for coming to our screening of Chasing Niagara Monday night, it was a huge success and we hope you all enjoyed it. Friends were gathered and new friends were made in the Boole watching a fantastic movie and enjoying some free pizza! We hope to do this type of thing on a more regular basis this year as we find it to be a great way to admire the art of kayaking and continue to bond as a club.
This Sunday we will be heading on our second fresher river trip to the Upper Bandon. It starts just outside Dunmanway in west Cork which is about a 50 minute drive from the City Centre. The cost of the trip is €5 and can be given to Orlaith Tyrell or Aaron Ryan during the week. If anyone is unfamiliar with the river, have a quick look at the video below.
Our annual JACKS weekend is also coming fast around the corner so if you haven’t booked a place already I would urge you to do so as soon as possible you won’t regret it! Orlaith Tyrell, our secretary is taking deposits of €25 for the trip and places are filling up fast!!!!! For more details check out or Facebook page.
Training is on tonight (Wednesday) meeting in the Mardyke Arena at 10:15pm and again on the river on Friday at 2:15pm. New Members are always welcome!
Also a special shoutout to current members James Hayes, Johann Oliver, Alan O’Regan, Ciarán Devine and Seán Cahill who made the best of the bad weather last weekend and ran the Roughty and Flesk rivers in Kerry.
