Could the weather be any better for saddling up and paddling away, sun on your face, wind in your hair…?

National BikeWeek 2016 (11th – 19th June) is less than one week away!

As nationwide, there’s a week full of activities on and around the two wheels in Cork.

Bike for Life – Cycling Training courses

Want to get active and become more confident on your bike?

Cork Sports Partnership and Cycling Ireland are offering a 6 week course starting next week.

There are two options for once-a-week sessions:

  • Wednesday evenings from 18:30 – 20:00.
  • Starting Wednesday 8th June.
  • Blackrock based out of Blackrock Castle Observatory using Blackrock to Passage Cycleway.

  • Saturday mornings from 10:00 – 11:30.
  • Starting Saturday 11th June.
  • Bishopstown based out of CIT using the Curraheen River Walkway.

All six sessions are offered at the great value price of only €30 (total).

Given the nature of the organising bodies, these courses will also cover a bit the sportive aspect of cycling,

while they are also a great opportunity to gain more confidence on the bike and in traffic in general.
