Laser Lehane to feature on RTE Show.

UCC and Cork hurler Conor Lehane, had breakthrough laser eye surgery earlier this year. To see how the innovative procedure has transformed his life both on and off the field tune into RTEs “Thank GAA its Friday” this Friday at 8.30 on RTE 2.

Conor is currently completing an MA in Criminology at UCC. He is an MJ Dowling Sports Scholarship student who was player of the tournament when UCC won the Fitzgibbon Cup in 2013.

Conor was also assessed by Trevor Woods as part of testing in the UCC performance laboratory. Here he underwent a Biodex screening which assesses balance and mobility in Athletes of all ages.

With his short-shortsightedness now rectified, Conor can look to the future with Cork and delivering Jimmy Barry-Murphy’s vision for the side as they face Wexford in the Hurling qualifiers on Saturday evening.

Conor became the first person in Ireland to undergo a new form of laser eye surgery in January. Conor received his treatment in the Cathedral Eye Clinic in Belfast. Professor Johnny Moore, a leading eye surgeon, has developed a no-touch, non-invasive Scwhind laser that ensures 100% accuracy and reduces recovery time drastically.
