Iceland Dominant in the Mardyke
A powerful first half performance from Iceland laid the foundation for a 4-0 victory over the girls from Belarus.
The Nordic girls lead 3-0 at the break and only for a strong performance from Belarus Goalkeeper Maria Svidunovich it could have been much worse.
In the other game in the tournament, Ireland had a 6-0 win over the Faroe Islands. There was a hat-trick for Carla McManus, a brace for Alannah McEvoy & one for Orla Casey.
Tomorrows games see Iceland taking on the Faroe Islands (Mardyke 3pm) while Ireland face Belarus in Turners Cross at 7pm.
