All those who wish to do the course must sign up in the Sports Office at Ferry Lodge with the fee. Places are limited so it will be run on a first come, first served basis.

The cost of the course is €75, but will be partially funded by the Clubs Exec based on the standard rates for training courses.

Here are the prices for club members wishing to do the course:

Coaches: €20
1st/2nd years -€35
3rd years – price -€50
4th Years/Postgrads -€55

Clubs can decide to further subsidise the course using their own funds if they so wish.

8 hour first aid course which will certificate students for 24 months.

Course title – Emergency First Response Primary and Secondary Care.
Topics included on course – Defibrillator training, Casualty recognition, Scene assessment and management, Basic life support and CPR, Management and treatment of serious bleeding, Spinal injury management, Shock management, Treatment of fractures sprains, strains, and dislocations, Treatment of sports related injuries, First aid kit contents and uses.
Course will be tailored to look at first aid within a range of sporting and outdoor environments.
Instructor’s Qualifications – Emergency First Response and First Aid at Work Instructor. ‘Emergency First Response’ is a worldwide first aid governing body

Course is ideal for students participating in sports clubs as it provides practical first aid knowledge and they will gain a qualification.
