UCC Sports Facilities Remain Closed

Following publication of the Government Roadmap for reopening UCC has established a Campus Business Continuity Team. This Team will be responsible for determining how UCC campus and activities will be managed and organised and brought back into operation in due course in a complex and changing environment.
We have been advised that UCC Club and sporting activity remains paused and our facilities at the Mardyke and the Farm will remain closed until such time as the timeline and infection control measures for recommencement of such activities are issued by the University Management Team on advice of the Campus Business Continuity Team
We are working with the Board of Student Sport Ireland and other 3rd level organisations to map out the way to return sport and physical activity in the months ahead. There are unique challenges in the 3rd level sector which we are working to communicate to Sport Ireland, NGBs and the relevant government departments. Working our way through the next stages is complex. We will ensure ongoing consultation with our clubs and other stakeholders to keep them informed and also to consider views and issues raised.
