The present position is:

  1. The first group of 6 sports have successful submitted their documentation and have been cleared to resume activities.
  2. Only Clubs who have been approved to RTP will be permitted to resume activities and book facilities.
  3. Our Track facilities re-opened this week – with new booking procedures in place through

  5. The Mardyke Arena has re-opened for individual users following a detailed processing of re-engineering of facilities, social distancing protocols and with new booking processes in place.  Again for club activity only Clubs who have completed their RTP will be able to access the Arena.  We are waiting for confirmation from the Arena when club facilities can be accessed.  This will be later in the month.

Key Challenges

There will be challenges ahead and we will work through this as best we can.  These include:

  1. Our dressing rooms at the Mardyke Grounds and the Farm will not be open for the foreseeable future.
  2. We will need to manage capacity and access to facilities in line with the recommended limits for each sport and the setting indoor/outdoor.
  3. The changing facilities in the Mardyke Arena are not open.
  4. The squad gym space for Clubs is no longer available due to social distancing limits and we are working the Team in the Arena to assess how we can plan for the needs of sports who run squad gym sessions.
  5. There are major limitations on the use of studios and capacity in the Arena due to social distancing requirements.
  6. At all times we will be guided by health and safety guidelines.
