Busy Weekend for UCC sports women and men
UCC scholarship triathlete & incoming Quercus triathlete Chris Mintern retained his Lee Swim title at the event last Saturday.
UCC students performed very well at the National Rowing Championships in Inniscarra at the weekend:
Andy Harrington, HPAE scholarship recipient & David O Leary won the Men’s Senior 2. This was UCC Men’s first senior title at these championships
UCC scholarship student Aifric Keogh & Barbara O Brien won the Women’s Senior 2.
UCC’s Senior Women’s 8 came 2nd in their event in a composite crew with Skibbereen
UCC Women’s Senior 4 came 2nd in a composite crew
UCC Senior men’s 4 came 3rd
UCC Graduate Justin Ryan of Skibbereen RC claimed the men’s lightweight single-sculls title.

UCC’s Josh O Sullivan Hourihan claimed his 3rd Summer League event win some weeks ago in winning the Regional Park Ballincollig long course event. UCC’s Rob McEvoy was 9th in the long course. Josh continues to compete well in the Summer League
