Busy Saturday in store for Mardyke

This Saturday promises to be a feast for the sporting senses at the Mardyke. Following a month of cancellations and postponements, the skull and cross bone teams are out again in force.

At 2pm the Cork hurlers take on UCC in the Cannon O’Brien trophy in Kieran Kingston’s first home game in charge against Ger Cunningham’s college outfit.

At 2.30pm the UCC Senior Rugby team face Galway Corinthians as they aim to build on a promising start to the season.

The UCC womens hockey team play Ashton in a Division 2 league game at 1pm.

Indoors in the Mardyke Arena meanwhile,

sees the semi-finals of the National Basketball cup take place. This competition will feature some of the top mens and womens national teams and begins at 3pm until late.
