LADIES GAELIC FOOTBALL:
One omission from the list of All Star awardees from previous email. PhD Chemistry student Vera Foley also received a Gaelic Football All Star for her performances with Cork this past year.

GAELIC FOOTBALL:
UCC were beaten 2:8 – 3:11 by DCU in the Higher Colleges League semi-final last thursday

UCC play UUJ in the Intermediate colleges league final on Wednesday

 

HURLING:

UCC seniors havequalified for the colleges league final to be played on Wednesday. They play Carlow IT.

UCC fresher “B” play UL in the Fresher “B” Colleges league final on Wednesday

 

CAMOGIE:
UCC play NUIG in the Ashbourne Cup group match on Wednesday night inthe Mardyke

 

BASKETBALL:
UCC women were crowned Fresher Intervarsity champions in Maynooth at the weekend

 

HOCKEY:
UCC women were defeated 3-1 by Ards & Peagus in the EY AIL Hockey league at the weekend

UCC men defeated Galway 10 nil in the Munster Senior League

 

SOCCER:
UCC Utd (staff) were beaten 1-0 in theCBSL Shield Final at Turners Cross yesterday

UCC seniors defeated Bandon 5:2

UCC Juniors defeated Passage 4:1

UCC Academicals were beaten 2:1 by Leeds

In thre Cork AUL: UCC “A” defeated Richmond 2:0

UCC were beaten 9:0 by City Wanderers

 

ROWING:
UCC’s Deirdre O Sullivan came 2nd at the Women’s U23 at ther indoor national championships

Jack Casy came 2nd & David Keohane came 3rd in the men’s U23

 

AUSSIE RULES:
UCC were beaten semi-finalists at a national tournament at the weekend

 

RUGBY:
UCC seniors defeated Bruff 23:19 in the Munster Senior Cup

UCC U20’s defeated Bruff 32:20

 

RACQUETBALL:
UCC’s Aisling Hickey won the Irish Womens Senior Open Racquetball Championships in Tipperary at the weekend. She also won the Women’s doubles title.
