UCC women backbone Cork as record crowd expected for Ladies Football Final.

In the annals of modern day sport some teams strike a chord with supporters and followers for their skill, resilience and bravery. The Cork Senior Ladies Gaelic Football team have displayed all of these traits and more.

An amazing record of contesting All Ireland Finals since 2005, winning 10 in 11 years and attempting to win 6 in a row will see them play Dublin in Croke Park in this year’s final on Sunday September 25th.

This brilliant and talented team has a huge UCC connection with 14 current students involved as well as 4 graduates of the University. Regardless of what the result may be next Sunday the exploits of this particular group of athletes will rank at the top in the history of great teams in Irish sport.
