Phils Finish is going Viral.

The UCC Sports Scholarship Athlete has really caused a stir in Irish Athletics over the last few days.

Relay

Phil won the 200m for UCC at the varsity champs last weekend breaking the Irish colleges record. Her final leg on the 4×4 relay taking UCC from 5th to 1st was unquestionably the most impressive run of the day and has since gone viral. The determination shown by the woman from West Cork was truely outstanding in an event that would not be known as her specialty – until now! The race has been watched by almost 3,000,000 viewers on youtube. It has been watched by 25,000,000 people on the Good Morning America Facebook page and has featured on the Washington Post, Huffington Post and on the Melbourne main evening news in Australia.

Of course Phil was ably assisted by her team-mates on the day Louise Shanahan, Niamh Moore and Christine Neville.
