Did someone say Workshop Week?
Do you ever feel like you’re missing something but you can’t quite figure out what it is?! Well here at UCC Dance, we have finally found that one one week that the college semester has been missing! Workshop Week! This year we decided to give our dancers a jam packed week of exciting workshops to keep them on their toes, with all proceeds going to UCC Dance’s chosen charity, CUH Children’s Charity, as well as Crumlin Children Hospital upon special request from one of our guest choreographers!
The week started off with a tango lesson run by the fabulous Steven Day! This was particularly exciting as most dancers were almost complete beginners in this style. An emotional contemporary class was next on the list with none other than Chris O’Doherty who was part of the winning dance troupe on ‘Ireland’s Got Talent’. Finally Cheslie Jasmine Wright brought the sass with her heeled routine to finish the week on a high!
We would like to say a huge thank you to all the fabulous choreographers who gave up their time for such a great cause and we also want to thank our dancers for giving it socks as always! We raised an amazing €175.60 for CUH Children’s Charity with the donations from the heels workshop going to Crumlin Children’s Hospital! We cannot stress enough how amazing this is, and we want to thank the dancers for making our first workshop week such a success! Make sure you keep your calendar free because we already can’t wait to start planning workshop week next year!
