Adventure Sports Film
On Saturday November 7th the Why Not? Adventure Film Festival, anIrish adventure sport documentary film festival now in its fourth year will travel to UCC to screen a selection of sensational films from Ireland and across the globe. All proceeds from the event will be going to local Cork not-for-profit group Active Connections (www.activeconnections.ie) which helps change the lives of young people with behavioural difficulties through adventure.
Those in attendance on the night also get to have their say and vote for their favourite film in the ‘Public Choice’ Award and the ‘Mc Conkey’ Award for most inspiring film. Speaking about the event, festival organiser Graham Clarke is keen to point out that “audience engagement is probably the most important aspect of this festival for us. Picking films that really engage and inspire the audience is what this event is about and we hope through the festival that more people are inspired to undertake their own adventures. No matter how small”.
